Libraries for Visual DataFlex

Significant investments are often made to develop application components large and small. Starting with Visual DataFlex 2009, "Libraries" are a standardized means of authoring, assembling, installing and sharing such components among developers in a company or throughout the entire developer community. Available Visual DataFlex Libraries are:

AJAX Library
When added to the web-development features of Visual DataFlex, the AJAX Library helps developers build Rich Internet Applications (RIA) for  delivering next generation web business solutions - fast & easy! The AJAX Library is a installed with Visual DataFlex 2009 and is supported by Data Access Worldwide.

AutoComplete Library
Developed by David Martinko of of Redeemed Software & Hosting, the AutoComplete Library helps end users enter information faster and reduces input errors. AutoComplete as a Library will allow developers to share the code between multiple workspaces.

Codejock Library
The Visual DataFlex SIG Codejock Library is a set of classes that enable the use with Visual DataFlex of Codejock Software’s highly customizable Active-X controls (available seperately) to create rich, visually exciting, enterprise-class Windows applications.

Dimatek Digital Signature and Encryption Library
Dimatek is a powerful digital signature and encryption library developed by DataFlex Italia Srs, Data Access Worldwide’s distributor for Italy. Dimatek enables developers to integrate digital signing, encryption, verification and decryption features into existing or new applications with ease and flexibility.

Graphics Library
The Graphics Library enables the display of pictures and images in Visual DataFlex Windows applications using most of today’s popular graphic formats: Bitmaps (BMP), Icons (ICO), Graphic Interchange Format (GIF), Joint Photographic Experts Group (JPG), Exchangeable Image File Format (EXF), Portable Network Graphics (PNG), Tagged Image File Format (TIFF), Windows Metafile (WMF) and Windows Enhanced Metafile (EMF).

VPE Library (Beta)
The VPE Library uses Ideal Software’s Virtual Print Engine to print reports, forms, barcodes and other forms of complex output. It also has a Winprint compatible interface which makes it easy to migrate existing Visual DataFlex WinPrint reports to VPE reports. Among VPE’s capabilities is PDF output from either Windows or web applications.
