AutoComplete Library for Visual DataFlex

AutoComplete in use in a Visual DataFlex application.AutoComplete is a set of classes written and developed by David Martinko of Redeemed Software & Hosting. AutoComplete has been used by developers for over 8 years, and now, as a Library, using it is even easier!

What does it do? When there is a pause in the user’s keyboard input, the Library causes a Visual DataFlex application to make a quick database search on the already-entered user data. Then, any records that start with the same value are displayed in a popup list saving keystrokes and reducing errors. The focus remains in the entry form, however the user can arrow up/down and page up/down to scroll through the matching records. The user can simply press the enter key to select a record from the list or the escape key to close the list.

AutoComplete has been updated with Studio markups which means all properties will be shown in the property dialog - no more having to remember what the property is called!

Getting Help for AutoComplete is as simple as F1. Help is context-sensitive, which means if you press F1 on a property, method, or class defined within the AutoComplete Library, the Studio Help will open the AutoComplete Help.
