VPE Library for Visual DataFlex

The VPE Library uses Ideal Software’s Virtual Print Engine to allow Visual DataFlex developers to create complex, precisely formatted reports and forms for viewing, printing and outlut in many file formats including PDF. The Library also has a Winprint compatible interface that makes it easy to migrate existing Visual DataFlex WinPrint reports to use the VPE print engine.

Documentation is installed in the library’s Help folder and can be read online.

While Winprint can output to the printer and screen (preview mode), VPE reports can also create PDF documents from both Windows and web applications. A WebApp class enables reports to be delivered in a browser for seamless integration with Visual DataFlex Web and AJAX Applications.

This library does not contain the VPE product itself - that must be acquired directly from Ideal Software. The VPE Library is compatible with VPE v4.00 and VPE v5.00.
