Object Properties Panel

The Object Properties Panel is the central access point to properties of any object that can be selected in the Visual Designer or Code Explorer.

• Used to display and change object property values
• Can be used with all objects in your source code
• Changes made in the Object Properties Panel are immediately reflected in Code Editor and Visual Designer
• Properties can be listed by category or in alphabetical order
• Complex Properties (e.g. Size) displayed in sub-nodes
• Enumerated and Boolean property choices displayed in a combo form
• By default all single value properties are displayed
  • No configuration required to see a property value
• Private and design time properties are hidden
• Extra property information defined in meta-data
  • Public/private, design time, group name, default value
  • Flexibility for class designers
• Column based properties (screen shot) are supported for column-based objects (e.g. grids)
• Data and server bindings (screen shot) are maintained here for data-aware controls
• View all Events (screen shot) for classes or objects.
